$100k award to recognize transformational, lifesaving programs

What: The ONE Africa Award recognizes best practices by an African organization or individual promoting the effective use of development resources to help Africa achieve the Millennium Development Goals, focusing on results and incorporating strong accountability mechanisms. It will bring recognition to innovative African efforts to fight poverty and will incentivize more of such efforts.
Who Qualifies: Individuals, organizations or other groups based in Africa that demonstrate commitment and success in assisting Africans to meet one or more of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are invited to apply.
When to Apply: The Application process is open until August 15, 2008. The winning applicant will be contacted in September 2008.
